These tags are designed to fit comfortably on your H2.0 tumbler lid and stay in place with normal use. There is some variability due manufacturing differences across cups so the fit may be more snug or more loose depending on a variety of factors. What we do guarantee is that the tag should fit in the space and should not slide out of place when the cup is tilted normally to drink from the straw (as shown in the listing video) on a new cup. The tag will not "lock" in place because there is no lip on the straw plate for the tag to lock into.
The good news is you can’t turn your cup upside down or on its side with liquid in it so a looser fit will in no way interfere with the use of your cup. Additionally, your cup lid is slightly sloped on the sides so the tag fits to the side and is not flush to the bottom - there will be a gap ~1/4in between the straw plate and the cup. This is by design. If you push the tag too far down trying to get it flush, you will likely scratch your straw plate. This is also true if the tag is lowered into place at an angle. Your straw also needs to remain vertical with this tag on your cup, as angling the tag acts as a lever and will raise your tag because the straw hole is round, not oval. An angled straw will also cause the plate to not be put into place level, which will cause scratches.
**If you have the older style H2.0 with the silicone straw plate, the snug-fit tag will slide up because the silicone pushes back against the snug fit. The tag will fit but will need to be pushed back down when the silicone eases it out of place. The silicone straw plate is no longer sold on the H2.0 so this does not apply to most H2.0 cups**
